Privacy Policy

How DA Synergie collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with the dasynergie.com website and related commercial services.

Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by DA Synergie in connection with the public website and related account, purchase, licensing, and support services.

Business address (as used for commercial invoices): 663 Rte 116, Sainte-Christine, QC J0H 1H0, Canada.

Person responsible for the protection of personal information: DA Synergie
Contact: support@dasynergie.com

support@dasynergie.com is the canonical public mailbox for privacy questions and personal-information requests.

Effective date: 3 September 2026. Updated 18 September 2026 to describe optional Beta Program membership.

Scope

This policy covers information processed through dasynergie.com and related systems used to operate customer accounts, checkout, invoices, software downloads, and commercial software licensing. It should be read together with the Terms of Service, EULA, Licensing Policy, and Cookie Policy.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, DA Synergie may collect or store:

  • Account and authentication information: name, email address, company (if provided), country, password (stored as a salted one-way hash), email-verification status, and password-reset / email-verification tokens while needed to complete those flows.
  • Session and security information: session identifiers (stored as hashes server-side), and for administrators, multi-factor authentication enrolment data such as a TOTP secret and verification state.
  • Billing profile information: billing / legal name, company, and billing address fields used for tax calculation and invoices.
  • Purchase, order, and invoice information: products purchased, quantities, prices, tax amounts, order and invoice identifiers, payment status, refund-related status/reasons where applicable, and legal-acceptance evidence associated with a checkout (timestamp and document version/hash identifiers).
  • Payment-provider references: PayPal order/capture identifiers and, when returned by PayPal, payer identifiers and payer email. DA Synergie does not store your full payment-card details on this website.
  • Licensing information: Machine ID (or equivalent machine binding), product/licence identifiers, entitlement quantities and status, licence issuance / reissue / rehost history, and a customer name snapshot used when generating a licence file.
  • Beta Program information: if you apply, DA Synergie stores the application, the time you accepted the Beta/Test Software Notice, that notice’s version and hash, membership status (pending, approved, rejected, or revoked), and the administrator decision time or reason when one is recorded. Beta membership does not create an order, invoice, or licence.
  • Bug reports: if you submit a report while signed in, DA Synergie stores your account association and account email, the product and version, the report text, optional attachments, and the support status history. Do not include passwords, payment details, or other confidential information you do not need to share.
  • Support and administration records: administrative audit entries related to customer, order, invoice, or licence actions, and administrative notes where recorded for support or accounting.
  • Website preference / cart information: essential cookies and short-lived browser storage described below and in the Cookie Policy.

Licence Request files — what we intentionally do not keep

When you upload a Licence Request file to generate or manage a licence:

  • DA Synergie uses the Machine ID and related licence-request fields needed to identify the product and machine binding.
  • ComputerName and WindowsUser values that may appear in a Licence Request file are ignored and are not stored.
  • The raw uploaded Licence Request JSON is not retained as a permanent record. A short-lived server-side preview may be kept only long enough to complete confirmation of the request, then removed when expired or consumed.

After issuance, the resulting machine-bound licence file may be downloaded by the customer. Offline licence files already delivered to a machine are subject to the limitations described in the Licensing Policy and Terms of Service.

Purposes of collection and use

We use personal information to:

  • create and administer customer accounts, verify email addresses, and reset passwords;
  • authenticate sessions and protect account and administrative access;
  • calculate taxes, process checkout, create orders and invoices, and record legal acceptance of purchase terms;
  • process payments through the supported payment provider and reconcile payment references;
  • create licence entitlements and issue, reissue, or rehost machine-bound licences;
  • provide downloads of published software packages;
  • review optional Beta Program applications and provide approved Beta/Test software downloads;
  • receive and manage bug reports submitted by signed-in customers, including optional attachments, for support, debugging, and product improvement.
  • send transactional messages such as email verification, password reset, and administrative invoice copies;
  • provide customer and licensing support, investigate payment or licensing issues, and maintain business/accounting records;
  • comply with applicable legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Service providers and processors

DA Synergie uses service providers to operate the website and related services, including:

  • PayPal: processes customer payments. DA Synergie sends order reference and amount/currency information required to create and capture a payment. Card and PayPal-account credentials are handled by PayPal according to PayPal’s own terms and privacy practices.
  • Resend: delivers transactional emails (for example email verification, password reset, and administrative invoice notifications).
  • Cloudflare: provides website hosting (Workers), application database storage (D1), and download-file storage (R2) used for published software packages.

Public community links (such as Discord) may appear on the website. Using those external services is subject to those providers’ own terms and privacy practices.

Cookies, sessions, and browser storage

DA Synergie uses essential cookies and limited browser storage to operate the site, including:

  • session — authenticated customer session (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax);
  • das_cookie_notice — remembers acknowledgement of the essential-cookie notice;
  • das_guest_cart — remembers guest cart product codes and quantities (not authoritative prices or payment data);
  • sessionStorage key das_checkout_return — remembers a post-login return path for checkout/cart.

Details are described in the Cookie Policy. The current website does not intentionally use advertising or third-party marketing tracking cookies.

Free software downloads may use Cloudflare Turnstile human verification. That challenge is used only to protect anonymous downloads from automated abuse and is described in the Cookie Policy.

Technical logging

Operational logs generated by the hosting platform and application may include technical events needed to operate and diagnose the service. Depending on the event, logs may include identifiers such as email addresses used in transactional email flows, order or licence identifiers, or Machine IDs associated with licensing actions. Logs are used for operations, security, and troubleshooting—not for advertising profiling.

Where information may be processed

DA Synergie is established in Quebec, Canada. Some service providers (including Cloudflare, PayPal, and Resend) may process or store information on infrastructure located outside Quebec or outside Canada. Where that occurs, information is processed according to those providers’ services and applicable safeguards offered by those providers. This policy does not claim that all personal information remains exclusively in Canada.

Security

DA Synergie applies reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the service, including password hashing, hashed session tokens, Secure/HttpOnly session cookies, server-authoritative checkout pricing, hashed licence-request tokens, and administrative multi-factor authentication for privileged access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Retention

DA Synergie retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy and/or as required or permitted by applicable legal, accounting, tax, licensing, security, and dispute-resolution obligations.

  • Some short-lived records (for example expired email-verification or password-reset tokens, and expired/consumed licence-request previews) are removed when no longer needed for that flow.
  • Finalized invoices and necessary accounting/transaction records are retained. Invoice information is also entered into DA Synergie’s main accounting system.
  • Where your account remains accessible, you may access or reprint historical invoices through the existing account functionality. Invoice PDFs are regenerated from the stored invoice snapshot rather than rewritten historical documents.
  • Orders, entitlements, licence issuance/rehost history, Beta Program membership decisions, and related audit records are generally retained for business, licensing-support, and compliance purposes and are not automatically erased when an order is cancelled, voided, or refunded, or when Beta access is rejected or revoked.

This policy does not publish fixed multi-year retention periods. A formal internal retention schedule remains a compliance follow-up task.

Access, correction, and deletion

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information DA Synergie holds about you, or request correction of inaccurate information.

Through your account, you can currently review account and purchase/licensing information available in the customer profile area, update your billing profile, and—where available—access or reprint historical invoices. Other corrections (for example account name or email changes) may require contacting DA Synergie at support@dasynergie.com.

You may also request deletion of personal information or closure-related handling of an account. An account deletion or correction request does not necessarily require DA Synergie to delete records that it must or legitimately needs to retain, including for:

  • accounting;
  • taxation;
  • transaction records;
  • licensing and entitlement history;
  • fraud prevention and security;
  • legal compliance;
  • establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims; and
  • dispute resolution.

Records retained for those purposes are not used for unrelated marketing. Where an offline licence file has already been issued to a machine, administrative status changes do not necessarily remove that file from the machine.

Nothing in this policy limits rights that applicable privacy or consumer law does not permit to be limited.

Applicable rights

If you are located in Quebec or elsewhere in Canada, you may have rights under applicable private-sector privacy legislation regarding access, correction, and related remedies. DA Synergie will respond to privacy requests in accordance with applicable law. If you are not satisfied with a response, you may have the right to contact the competent privacy supervisory authority.

Children

The website and commercial licensing services are intended for business and professional use. They are not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

DA Synergie may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or service changes. The effective date above will be revised when a new version is published. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes notice of the revised policy for website visitors; material changes affecting customers may also be communicated through the website or account communications where appropriate.
